The primary objective of the Water Access Sub Project was to provide a sustainable and reliable source of clean water, particularly benefiting the children at Ddembelyabato School. This project:
- Eliminated the need for daily, 15-mile round trips and 300-step climbs by providing on-site water supply
- Improved health and hygiene by reducing waterborne diseases.
- Enhanced the educational environment by allowing children to focus on their studies instead of water collection.
- Fostered community development by providing essential resources for health and education.
- Promoted sustainable practices in water management.
- Provided backup during blackouts by storing sufficient water to cover up to five days of interruptions from Kalisizo Town Council water pump failures.
- Supported the local economy by creating job opportunities for local workers during the construction and maintenance of the water tank.
